Before using traditional japanese chisels need to be prepared for use by the owner<\/strong>. The hoop at the end of the handle has to be fitted to prevent the handle from splitting.<\/p>\n
Traditional Carbon Steel Japanese Chisels\u00a0 distinguish themeselves with extremely good edge retention. They are however made from carbon steel, very hard but also brittle<\/strong>\u00a0(more brittle than most people are used to)\u00a0and rusting<\/strong>. Therefore take good care of this tool, keep the tool clean after use and wipe it down with camelia oil<\/strong>\u00a0ocasionally.
